Farmers and their lost identity !

Farmers are feeding us since 12000 years. Our country is an agriculture based country, and our farmers are the backbones to nation's economy but they remain poor because of lack of money to buy seeds and technology.

We are technologically sound country. But there are no machines which can make farmers work easy. We need them to grow grains, fruits and vegetables for us but we don't care when they commit suicides. They might be following old ways of living, but they are feeding us. Without them we can't imagine our lives. 

Everyone wants their children to become doctors and engineers but no one wants them to become farmers. I don’t understand why ? And why can't we make agriculture as a mandatory subject in schools ? Farmers can survive if more people study agriculture science and come up with more advanced techniques. lack of profits and debts are forcing them to leave farms and move to cities.

After starting their life in cities and other states as migrants, working day and night, the price they get for their hardwork is very less with which they can't even feed their families. 

Once upon a time farmers were the wealthiest people, now the same farmers are migrating to cities and other states. Whenever a farmer migrates, it equals to one food producer less and one food consumer more. 

After moving to city they are facing so many troubles while working hard to feed their families. With the changing times they also lost their identity.

Farming is a way of living, now if we don't save our farmers they might end up in the list of endangered human beings and we end up eating plastic rice.
